Florida College Acceptance Rate

In this post, we list the 55 colleges and universities in Florida with the lowest acceptance rates. The lower the acceptance rate, the more difficult it usually is to get into the school.

A school’s acceptance rate measures the number of students that were accepted against the number of students that applied to the school.

If, for example, 1,000 students applied to a college, and 400 were accepted, the acceptance ratio is 1,000 to 400 (or 40 percent, the acceptance rate).

The acceptance rate tells you nothing about the rigor or quality of the school’s academic programs, though.

Usually, universities and colleges with a selective admissions policy are regarded as somewhat more prestigious as students may find it harder to get accepted into their credit-bearing courses.

There are, however, many more factors that influence a school’s acceptance rates, such as the total number of applicants and the popularity of the school.

If a school is known for easy acceptance, the number of applicants may be very high, driving down the acceptance rate of that institution. So let’s see which Florida universities and colleges have the lowest application-acceptance ratio, meaning the lowest acceptance rate:
